V Editor Toolset > Terrain Slicer

This tool splits your Unity terrain into smaller parts and correctly copies height map, alpha map, detail map, tree instances and all other settings.

Usage

    1. Go to V Editor Toolset Quick Access Menu (Ctrl + Alt + V) and open Terrain Slicer window
    2. Select your terrain in scene hierarchy
    3. Choose between Grid and Area slicing types. Grid will split your terrain into segments based on chosen cells count. Area lets you choose heightmap resolution and the region at any position on your terrain
    4. Click Slice to perform slicing operation. After that one or more Terrain Data will be created and highlighted in your project hierarchy. The original terrain will be disabled (NOT deleted) and sliced ones will take a place at original terrain position
